SEMINAR ON DEVELOPMENT OF VENDOR INDUSTRY HELD

Karachi: Automotive vendors' industry has already made investment in excess of Rs. 10,000 millions, paid revenues to the government exchequer of Rs. 5,327 millions and generated employment opportunities to over 40,000 people. These statistics are from Pakistan Association of Automotive Parts and Accessories Manufacturers, the representative body of automotive vendors industry.

The seminar organized at Dewan Center by the Automotive Division of Dewan Mushtaq Group, was in continuation of series of initiatives being taken by the Group with respect to the automotive vendors’ development.

The seminar was conducted by CSR Consulting Network, which was attended by more than 25 participants. General Manager Manufacturing Dewan Motors Mr. Habib Uddin, Chief Executive CSR Consulting Network Mr. Pervez Hanif, Mr. Ayaz Ghani and CEO of United Registrar of Systems Mr. Ali Khan spoke on this occasion.

On this occasion, importance of quality, efficiency, transparency, accountability and sustainable capacity building particularly the need to implement ISO/TS 16949:2002 were highlighted and stressed in order to minimize defects and wastages for remaining competitive under the Multilateral Trading System envisaged under WTO regime.

The CEO of United Registrar of Systems Limited (URS) Pakistan’s operations talked about the methodology, importance and benefits of certification.

The Automotive Division of Dewan Mushtaq Group is committed to repeat the seminar, being first in the series, for the benefit of all its automotive vendors/suppliers.
