SEMINAR ON QUALITY REQUIREMENTS AND FREE OF COST GAP ANALYSIS

Karachi: The Automotive Division of Dewan Mushtaq Group, in continuation of series of initiatives with respect to the automotive vendors’ development, organized another half-day seminar on July 14, 2005 at Dewan Centre. The seminar conducted by CSR Consulting Network, was attended by 14 participants. The importance of quality, efficiency, transparency, accountability and sustainable capacity building need of implementing quality system particularly ISO/TS 16949:2002 to minimize defects and wastages in order to remain competitive under the Multilateral Trading System envisaged under WTO regime was highlighted.


CSR offered free cost Gap Analysis of the quality system to all the participating vendors. The statistics provided by Pakistan Association of Automotive Parts and Accessories Manufacturers, the representative body of automotive vendors industry, highlights that automotive vendors’ industry has already made investment in excess of Rs. 10,000 million, paid revenues to the government exchequer of Rs. 5,327 million and generated employment opportunities to over 40,000 people. The Automotive Division of Dewan Mushtaq Group is committed to repeat the seminar, being first in the series, for the benefit of all its automotive vendors/suppliers.
